Day 16 Remembrance 9-11

So today is 9-11, 9 years ago today four commercial passenger jet airliners was hijacked by 19 hijackers. Two of the airplanes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City. Both building collapsed within two hours. One airplane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The last airplane crashed into a field near Shanksville in Pennsylvania, which the hijackers redirected toward Washington, D.C., this airplane flew over my home town. I remember were I was, I was in High School 3rd period when another teach came in and told my teach to turn on the T.V. because the Twin Towers were hit. We watched the T.V. the rest of the day. 2,977 including the 19 hijackers were killed. There were 246 on the planes, 2,606 in New York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon, all were civilians except for 55 military personnel. There was 411 emergency workers. The New York City Fire Department lost 341 firefighters and 2 paramedics. The New York City Police Department lost 23 officers. The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers and 8 ETMs and paramedics. I got all the information of how many people die from goggle.com.
